CLASSES FOR ALL AGES

 

PRESCHOOL  (2, 3, and 4 year olds)  This class invites young children to learn how GOD IS GREAT, GOD IS GOOD, and GOD LOVES US through story, play and rhyme. At least one parent is expected to stay in the classroom to provide assistance to the teacher.

LOWER SCHOOL (K – 4th Grade) This class is team taught. Children learn together in a one-room schoolhouse type environment. Activities include story, song, crafts and play.  Parents are always welcome to stay.

UPPER SCHOOL (5th – 6th Grade)  This class is also team taught. Children learn together in a one-room schoolhouse type environment. Activities include Bible study, crafts, and service projects.

CONFIRMATION (7th – 8th Grade) This class will be taught as a group from all Pottstown area Lutheran congregations. Students will learn the basics of the catechism while exploring their faith, encountering difficult issues from a faith perspective, and growing in relationship with God and with others. Specific instruction will prepare these students for their Affirmation of Baptism.

POST-CONFIRMATION/YOUNG ADULT (9th Grade to 20year olds) These young people will meet to continue to explore their faith, and difficult issues they may face from a faith perspective. Integration into the congregation through service and using their talents for God’s work will be encouraged.

MEN’S & WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY  These classes  will be led by Pastor Phil and Michele Alamo.  The two classes will take a fresh look at the Bible and its impact on our everyday lives and relationships. It is intended to supplement the Adult class. Bibles and participant materials are provided, but you may certainly bring your own Bible.

ADULTS This class is also team taught and uses the Adult Bible Studies series from Augsburg Press. Bibles and participant are provided, but you may certainly bring your own Bible. This class meets in the Luther Room (across from the Chapel).
